ABU DHABI- The Abu Dhabi Municipality, ADM, completed the Al Zahiyah Development Project, at a cost of AED28.8 million, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi General Services Company, Musanada, and the Department of Transport.

The project is located in an area of approximately 277,500 square metres, divided into 69,000 sq m of main roads, 43,300 sq m of minor roads, and 164,000 sq m of streets, covering parts of the East 12 and East 14 ponds.

ADM stated that the project included the restoration of services facilities, improvement to traffic, and the redevelopment of pedestrian walkways and infrastructure, such as telecommunications, water and electricity, as well as new street lighting, traffic signs, and a rainwater drainage network from Al Firdous Street to Street 10.

The municipality also pointed out that the project aims to improve local infrastructure, services and facilities, to comply with the emirate’s overall development. The project is part of the ADM’s keenness to achieve the vision of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to provide quality infrastructure and fulfil the needs of the entire community, in line with the best international standards.

The project is also being monitored by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
