Abu Dhabi has completed road repair and development works worth Dh118 million to ease traffic on highways.

The Abu Dhabi City Municipality said works were carried out on Sweihan, E30, Taf Road, Al Nouf, Al Samha, Rabdan, Al Falah, Bani Yas, Sheikh Zayed Road, Khaleej Al Arab Street, Al Bateen, Ajban and Razeen.

The road projects involved the construction of 3.9km road expansions; an 850-metre road in the Sweihan area for the detour lane on the E30 road; a 520-metre entrance to Al Falah City; a road for farms in Razeen with a length of 1.7km; and the construction of an entrance and exit to Al Samha area (465 metres).

The civic body also constructed an entrance and exit to the Bani Yas area.

The project included the installation of guide panels in separate places on highways; the development of beautification works for the Al Maha roundabout in the Al Bateen area; as well as installing energy-saving lights on Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street.

The authorities also installed 123 electronic boards in different areas on the mainland, and signboards on Al Taf Road.
