Dubai, United Arab Emirates – At Motorola, April 3rd represented a particularly significant milestone for the company. In 2019, this was the first day the moto z3 combined with the 5G moto mod™ became the world’s first commercially available smartphone to connect to 5G network.
On the same day in 1973, Motorola publicly demonstrated the world’s first portable cellular telephone and system, using a prototype of the Motorola DynaTAC 8000X. From the first phone call, to connecting consumers across the globe to the fastest 5G speeds[1], Motorola has been there every step of the way.
