Muscat, Oman: Influential leaders and policy makers from Oman’s health and medical sector met with officials of the biggest exhibitions and conference organizer Omanexpo for Oman Health Exhibition & Conference 2019. The meeting was held on July 17 at the Crowne Plaza Muscat.

The meeting was organized in preparation for the upcoming ninth edition of Oman Health Exhibition & Conference, the Sultanate’s largest healthcare event, with the aim of gathering strategic and technical insights on current key issues, challenges and opportunities in Oman’s health and medical sector and helping shape new solutions to meet the sector’s dynamic requirements. These will serve as a base for developing the event’s conference agenda, and stimulating close and meaningful dialogue, interaction and networking among main industry representatives in a bid to help drive the sector’s development and growth and to support the government’s short and long-term initiatives to advance the industry.

Present at the meeting were directors, primary healthcare experts, heads of the medical devices departments of the Ministry of Health, patient and safety managers of the National Quality Centre, Oman and specialists from the Armed Forces Medical Service and the Royal Oman Police (ROP) Medical Services.

Ahmed Sayed, exhibition director, Oman Health Exhibition and Conference, says “We are glad to see the positive response to this event from the relevant representatives from the industry as with the continued support of the Ministry of Health. We are committed to organizing industry meetings such as this to ensure that this event serves a real purpose for Oman and its fast-growing healthcare industry. Only through close collaboration and year-round interaction with stakeholders could we ensure that we are on the right track.”

Oman Health Exhibition and Conference is scheduled to open from the 23rd to the 25th of September at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre. The ninth edition of this landmark event expects to welcome more than 100 exhibition companies from more than 10 countries, showcasing the best of the industry products, services, equipment and technologies representing hospital and medical infrastructure, medical supplies and healthcare services.

Concurrent to the exhibition is a three-day conference and a two-day workshop accredited by the Oman Specialty Board (OMSB), which will be presented by a qualified lineup of highly esteemed health and medical experts.

Providing added value are the business-to-business meetings, guaranteeing significant return on investment (ROI) for exhibitors. The organizers have also ensured a more worthwhile visitor experience by offering free medical consultations with specialists from some of the biggest clinics, hospitals and healthcare providers in Germany, Iran, India, UAE, Thailand, Malaysia and Turkey.

Oman Health Exhibition and Conference is recognized as Oman’s biggest healthcare event and has been supported by the Ministry of Health since its launch in 2009.
