Dubai - Centre Point Logistics, a Dubai based leading provider of logistics, warehousing and storage facilities, in a Safety Management Workshop today stressed enhanced measures and mechanism for safety across all logistics and supply chain operations.
Following the successful implementation of the best practices of quality management systems, the auditor Bureau Veritas (BV) recently recognised and certified the best management practices at the Centre Point Logistics (CPL). Company boats on wide experience of managing open yard storage facilities. The workshop was held today at Hotel Courtyard by Marriott Dubai.
The workshop was titled "Global Best Practices in Safety Management in Open Yard/Supply Chain Industry", lead by Mr. Er. Kannan, a safety management expert, and attended by top and middle managers of the company.
Mr. Saleh Abdullah Lootah, Executive Director of Centre Point Logistics, while expressing the importance of safety in today's business environments, said: "The UAE is uniquely positioned as logistics and supply chain hub in the Middle East. Safety expert Mr. Kannan, while addressing the workshop, said the PEEPO (people-environment-equipment-process-organisation) model helped us to make sure we are assessing all the factors that go into a successful procedure, management plan, or risk assessment. It is an extremely powerful tool to help generate ideas, guide brainstorming, and make sure all our bases are covered.
The workshop stressed on the need of intelligent automation and data security of customers in the industry. Market dynamics are changing at ever increasing rate and complexity, and the trend towards data security has gathered pace and investment in automation and integration is viewed as a long-term benefit.
