Dubai: Blackjack MENA – the international airport retail and staffing solutions provider powered by the UAE’s home-grown premier people and environmental solutions firm Dulsco – is taking part in the Retail Summit 2019 in Dubai, which places a focus on the region’s strongly performing retail and hospitality sectors.

During the Summit, – organised by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry on February 13-14, 2019, at Atlantis, The Palm – OmniServ Group’s Managing Director Antony Marke showcased Blackjack’s strategic and manpower services, highlighting its recent tie-in with Dulsco. OmniServ Group is Blackjack’s parent company; it provides a comprehensive range of passenger care and security services to the world’s leading airlines and airports.

“Blackjack already works across a number of Middle Eastern airports, particularly Dubai, for major international brands and airport operators,” Marke explained. “With Dulsco’s support, we will be able to ramp up our presence and offer even more enhanced and innovative retail solutions to further support growth in a crucial sector of the region’s economy. We’re delighted to be partnering with Dulsco, one of the most innovative and respected staffing providers in the region.”

The recently signed agreement between the two entities outlines a joint venture in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, boosting Dulsco’s expertise in terms of manpower solutions in the retail sector, seeing as Blackjack is regarded as a foremost specialist on staffing solutions in the travel and retail industries. The ultimate objective of the partnership is to deliver relevant and effective solutions that improve people’s lives.

“At Dulsco, we are all about powering better communities – and companies, workplaces and even airports are just as much communities as towns and cities,” said Dulsco CEO and Managing Director David Stockton. “We want to deliver relevant and effective solutions that make people’s lives better – so Blackjack’s ability to deliver people-based solutions that enhance passenger experience at the world’s biggest airports was a major factor behind setting up the joint venture. We’ve been aware of them for many years, and we believe that both parties can contribute to growing the new company and promoting the economic development of the region.”

The partnership agreement will see Blackjack bring its experience in providing brand ambassadors, specialist trained retail staff and experiential activations for global brands across Europe, particularly in airports, into the region, developing services and campaigns tailored to local audiences and international travellers in the region. Dulsco, for its part, will be providing its expertise, operational strength and local knowledge, accumulated over decades of service in the region, as it has been supporting communities across the UAE and neighbouring countries for the past 84 years.

Through its booth set up at the Retail Summit, Blackjack will be showcasing its state-of-the-art services, projects, and programmes, presented by experienced brand ambassadors who will introduce attendees to the company’s core values and outstanding solutions.

The Retail Summit will explore the challenges and opportunities of the regional retail sector, which is one of the UAE’s strongest performing sectors and responsible for the country’s success in ranking at fifth place on the 2017 Global Retail Development Index.
