Abu Dhabi UAE: Abu Dhabi Catalyst Partners today announced a strategic partnership with The Carlyle Group. The partnership is in line with Abu Dhabi Catalyst Partners’ mandate to partner with industry-leading entities to build a sustainable business presence in Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi Catalyst Partners, a joint venture between Mubadala Investment Company and Falcon Edge Capital, was established in April 2019. The company provides an operational base in Abu Dhabi, the cross roads of international trade, from which firms can expand their global footprint.

The Carlyle Group has identified Abu Dhabi as its regional headquarters as it looks to grow its presence and reach in the MENA region. At the same time, The Carlyle Group is looking to work closely with the broader Abu Dhabi community by basing and growing its regional headquarters in ADGM Square.

The partnership represents a meaningful commitment to a physical presence in the UAE’s capital and under the jurisdiction of ADGM.

Waleed Al Mokarrab Al Muhairi, Mubadala Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer and Chief Executive Officer of Alternative Investments & Infrastructure, said: “We are pleased to have The Carlyle Group establish their regional headquarters at ADGM Square and we are confident that their presence in Abu Dhabi will support their efforts to grow their business globally.”

Glenn Youngkin, Co-Chief Executive Officer of Carlyle, added “We are very excited about the presence of The Carlyle Group in Abu Dhabi and look forward to working closely with Abu Dhabi Catalyst Partners to ensure the success of Carlyle’s growth initiative in Abu Dhabi.”
