Considering the Covid-19 situation in Dubai, KHDA announced that all graduation ceremonies will be organised online, using the internet and video call technologies.

It said that making graduation ceremonies online is an important precautionary step to stop the spread of coronavirus and protect students and their families.

According to a 24.ae news website report, the authority said it understands the feelings of students, their families and teachers but the only way to protect students is to encourage schools and education institutions to use new technologies for graduation ceremonies.

Earlier, universities have organised online graduation ceremonies using technologies such as video calls.

KHDA also announced on its official Instagram account that it is inviting final year students from across Dubai to send short videos of their graduation speeches.

It called on students to send super short videos of graduation speeches using the link: linktr.ee/khdadubai. Such videos will give an idea to other students about their speeches in graduation ceremonies, it added.
