Sailors working aboard Bahraini ships had their certificates and permits extended by three months, due to the mandatory precautionary measures for combating Covid-19.

The Transportation and Telecommunications Ministry announced the measure, in line with the directives of the Executive Committee, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier.

The Department of Ports and Maritime Navigation Affairs said that the three-month extension aims to avert any disruption of local commerce and facilitate the transport of goods through entry points.
