RIYADH - Dr. Ahmad bin Abdullah Humaid Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of State for Higher Education and Advanced Skills, participated in a dialogue session as part of the second day of the Third Misk Global Forum held in Riyadh under the title, "Skills for our Tomorrow", on November 14-15.

The annual event brought together some of the world’s leading creators, innovators, and thinkers with participants willing to explore, experience and experiment with ways to meet the challenge of change.

Al Falasi pointed out that the UAE is harnessing its capabilities to create a future generation of youth who are armed with knowledge, scientific and practical expertise, to prepare them to be innovative and serve the country and region through creating an integrated education system that provides an environment for lifelong learning.

"The UAE Government aims to realise the vision of the wise leadership, which is devoted to the concept of learning for life, providing future generations and workers with knowledge and advanced skills, and ensuring their readiness to keep pace with developments in the job market, by enabling them to learn and develop their talent to achieve their ambitions and serve their nation. We share this vision with Saudi Arabia’s wise leadership, which depends on the knowledge, expertise, skills and capabilities of its youth to face future challenges and help achieve sustainable development," he stated.

He added that Saudi Arabia is a beacon of knowledge for the entire Arab region, and has invested in Arab youth and developed their scientific knowledge and skills, which is clearly showcased at the forum.

The forum is a major platform and international gathering for leading creative youths, thinkers and intellectuals, and its goal is to unify efforts to create a better future for all people, Al Falasi added. He also stressed that the forum is a model to be followed for employing the capabilities of the youth and teaching them the latest skills, as well as an opportunity to introduce them to the future of education, the achievements of the education system, the future job market, required future skills and the region’s strategic direction.

It is also a connection point for the youth of the region, as well as for officials and decision-makers, which will enable them to assess their ambitions, hopes and aspirations, and work together to unify their visions of a prosperous future, the minister said.
