MANAMA: His Majesty King Hamad received His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince Prime Minister, at Sakhir Palace yesterday.

He reviewed with the Crown Prince Prime Minister a number of local issues aimed at serving the kingdom’s progress march and ensuring the interests of the citizens.

He affirmed that Bahrain continues to adopt programmes and plans to attain more national achievements that enhance its pioneering role and progress, as well as meet the aspirations of its citizens for more development and prosperity.

His Majesty praised the tremendous national humanitarian efforts that the Crown Prince Prime Minister is leading to counter Covid-19, noting that such efforts have achieved outstanding success through the work of the National Medical Taskforce for Combating Coronavirus, the solidarity of various relevant parties and the Bahraini people’s awareness and solidarity.

He extended thanks and appreciation to all medical experts and allied teams for their extraordinary efforts and dedication to provide healthcare and protect the safety and health of the citizens and residents.

The King stressed that the world has become more optimistic about the end of the pandemic through the continuous research to find vaccines, which gives the entire humanity hope for the return of life back to normal.

His Majesty added that the kingdom is keen to provide the vaccine and make sure that it is available and accessible to all the citizens and residents in a secure and easy way.

He commended the level of the efforts and preparations for the organisation of the two Formula One races, in the midst of the exceptional circumstances imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, which reflects the kingdom’s huge potential to ensure the success of such a major international sports event.

He expressed thanks and appreciation to all the officials of Bahrain International Circuit for their dedication.
