Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), a leading financial institution, will be promoting the extensive range of rewarding career opportunities being offered to UAE nationals at Tawdheef 2019. The bank, which is a Platinum Sponsor of the recruitment fair for a sixth consecutive year, is committed to hiring talented UAE nationals and supporting them in progressing their careers at ADIB.

Tawdheef, the leading Emiratisation event for UAE nationals, will be held at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from January 28th to 30th, 2019. The event typically attracts over 15,000 fresh graduates from the UAE’s leading universities. At ADIB’s stand, prospective employees with an interest in banking can speak with representatives from various banking units on exciting career development opportunities. Over 1,000 potential candidates were interviewed by ADIB during Tawdheef 2018.

Hasan Abdulla Al Zaabi, Head of Human Resources, commented: “ADIB has established one of the most successful training and leadership programs for employees within the UAE. This approach is dependent on our ability to attract leading talent at graduate fairs such as Tawdheef. The quality of our employees underpins everything we do, and we are committed to providing a culture which allows UAE nationals to flourish and advance their careers. The financial sector is extremely dynamic and full of exciting opportunities for recent graduates. With a high Emiratisation ratio and successful career development programs, ADIB has the knowledge and expertise to capitalise on growth opportunities in the UAE economy and remain at the forefront of the banking industry.”

Furthermore, Ms. Bushrah Al Shehhi, Head of Recruitment and Emiratization highlighted that ADIB currently runs three distinct training programmes dedicated to supporting UAE nationals within the bank. The Retail Banking program hires young Emiratis based on the bank’s anticipated needs, enrolls them in a full-time training to develop their skills, preparing them to take on senior roles within the bank. Qiyadat is a leadership initiative designed to give emerging ADIB Emirati staff first-hand management experience. Similarly, the Tamkeen Women’s program is a leadership training program dedicated to empowering ADIB’s female Emirati employees.

Over the last 12 months, ADIB has received numerous awards for its Emiratisation efforts, including an award for Best Nationalisation Initiative and Excellence in Talent Management from the MENA HR Awards, and the Human Resource Development Award from the Emirates Institute of Banking and Financial Studies.
