ArabFinance: The Egyptian government executed developments at a total cost of EGP 4.8 billion in North Sinai during the 2018-2020 period, according to a September 21ststatement.

A total of 146 projects have been undertaken in different services and development sectors, North Sinai Governor Mohamed Abdel Fadil Shosha elaborated.

Shosha said the government built 2,608 residential units at a total cost of EGP 400 million, in addition to renovating 26 buildings.

He noted that Areesh water network has been enhanced and upgraded at EGP 866 million worth of cost.

Since 2013, eight seawater desalination developments have been carried out at a total value of EGP 565 million, Shosha noted.

North Sinai also witnessed the execution of five healthcare projects since 2014 at EGP 604.5 million in investments, the governor said.

The government revealed last month that EGP 4.54 billion has been allocated for North Sinai during fiscal year 2020/2021.
