Egypt's second phase of village development project 87% complete

The ongoing projects are distributed over 130 villages

Cairo – The Egyptian Minster of Local Development, Mahmoud Shaarawy, said that ongoing projects under the second phase of the national project of village development are 87% complete.

The ongoing projects are distributed over 130 villages, five in each governorate, Shaarawy added in a statement on Wednesday.

A total of EGP 2 billion has been injected into the implementation of 502 projects, of which EGP 700 million provided by the local development ministry for the establishment of 162 projects.

The projects cover water, wastewater, electricity, and road pavement sectors.
