Cairo – Mubasher: Edita Food Industries has pumped investments worth EGP 200 million to date in the Moroccan market, enhancing its first project in the country.

Edita has commenced operations at the new factory in Casablanca City, marking the company’s first investment outside the local market, according to a bourse filing.

The bakery plant is equipped to have three production lines, of which one is currently operating, to produce cake at a total annual output capacity of 2,700 tonnes.

The production of the new line has supplied 7,000 Moroccan stores in the first two weeks of its operating.

It is worth noting that Edita owns 76% of Edita – Morocco.
