Al Mashani has replaced Khaleefa Butti Al Muhairi

Mubasher: Al Salam Bank – Bahrain, listed on Bahrain Bourse and the Dubai Financial Market (DFM), has appointed Sheikh Khalid bin Mustahail Al Mashani as the chairman of the board.

Al Mashani has replaced Khaleefa Butti bin Omair bin Yousif Al Muhairi who resigned from his position, according to the bank's disclosure to the DFM on Monday.

With over 24 years of banking experience, Al Mashani has previously held directorship positions at Bank Muscat, Al Omaniya Financial Services Company, and at Dhofar International Development & Investment Holding Company.

Al Mashani commented: “We, as Board of Directors, would like to confirm that the bank will continue its solid strides toward implementing the 3-year strategy which is designed to gear us for further financial success in the local, regional and global markets."

The new chairman added: "We are confident that with our robust capital and liquidity positions and our strong management team, the bank will be able to navigate through current market challenges, including the outbreak of COVID-19 and its implications on the global economies."

It is noteworthy to mention that in 2019, the bank achieved BHD 21.1 million net profits attributable to shareholders, compared to BHD 18.5 million in 2018.
