The Kremlin said on Thursday that Western countries which supply Ukraine with weapons to directly strike Russia will definitely face consequences.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov was commenting after President Vladimir Putin suggested on Wednesday he could supply weapons within striking distance of interests associated with the United States and its European allies if they allowed Kyiv to strike deeper into Russia with long-range Western weapons.

Peskov declined to name countries or regions where Russia might deploy or supply such weapons. (Reporting by Dmitry Antonov Writing by Maxim Rodionov Editing by Andrew Osborn)
