RIYADH - Saudi Arabia’s Defense Ministry spokesperson said early Tuesday eight drones were intercepted and destroyed near the cities of Riyadh and Al-Kharj.

Eariler, the spokesperson said the US Embassy in Riyadh was targeted by two drones, according to preliminary assessments. The incident resulted in a limited fire and minor material damage to the building, the spokesperson said.
