Saudi Arabia has approved two new projects providing nearly 1,700 houses for citizens within an ongoing programme to expand their house ownership to 70 percent by the end of Vision 2030 development plan, according to the Housing Ministry.

The two projects have a combined area of around 3.2 million square metres and are located in the central Qasseem province, the Ministry said in a post on its website.

The first project, dubbed 'Shorooq Onaiza' comprises around 1,116 houses while the second one 'Bakiriya Gardens' includes nearly 580 units.

"These projects are the latest in the Ministry's ongoing housing projects with the aim of increasing citizen's house ownership to 70 percent in 2030," the post said.
