The next edition of Ipack-Ima, the specialised food and non-food processing and packaging fair, in Milan, Italy, in May 2022, with sustainability as the theme focused on the processing and packaging industry in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region.

“The food industry demands sustainable processing and packaging solutions, which we will showcase at the fair,” said Rossano Bozzi, CEO of Ipack-Ima.

“We intend to offer the food and beverage industries a unique experience of returning to network live with companies, retailers and industry experts which will be translated into projects and new business opportunities,” he said.

For the Italian packaging machinery manufacturers, the Middle East and Asia are key markets. Exports to the UAE recorded a growth of 42.3 percent in 2020 over the previous year. “We have finally returned to in-presence activities for the international promotion of Ipack-Ima, which is strategically scheduled in the calendar of international industry events in 2022,” said Bozzi.

The organisers expect 74,000 visitors in Milan in May 2022.

The 2018 edition of Ipack-Ima had attracted 1,503 exhibitors from 45 countries, and 74,091 trade visitors from 146 countries.

Bozzi said the exhibition will showcase each step of the production chain, from processing to packaging, from design to innovative materials, from labelling to end-of-line, from automation to digitization.

Ipack-Ima is also launching a new version of MYipackima, the innovative match making platform where exhibitors and buyers can profile and find the perfect match to develop new opportunities. The tool allows the customers to enhance the contact opportunities in an even more selected way between companies and potential partners before, during and after the fair.
