Mubasher: Kuwait’s ministry of electricity and water is working on completing four projects at KWD 156 million in investments.

The ministry has spent KWD 114 million, representing 73% of the total cost, Al Rai newspaper reported, citing the development report.

The report further revealed that the ministry has achieved major progress on the four investments approved in fiscal year 2018/2019.

The projects involve establishing Doha Reverse Osmosis Seawater Desalination Plant, along with installing gas units in Sabiya CCGT power station to produce 750 megawatts.

The third and fourth projects include installing gas turbines in Sabiya and carrying out the third phase of installing gas turbines in Al Zour South power plant.

These investments aim to provide state-of-the-art services for customers, in addition to meeting the rising demand for water and power.
