Cairo – Mubasher: Infinity Solar, a subsidiary of Egypt's private equity firm B Investments Holdings, has completed the construction and operation of its 30-megawatt solar power plant “MMID” at Benban Solar Park in Aswan.

Egyptian Electricity Transmission Co (EETC) has issued an operating licence for MMID that allow the plant to be tied up to the national electricity grid, B Investments added in a statement to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on Tuesday.

The company is projected to generate annual revenue from this project of $7 million.

In December, B Investments announced that Infinity Solar had linked the 30-megawatt solar power plant “MMID” to the national electricity grid.

This comes within the framework of the second phase of the feed-in tariff project, the Cairo-based private equity firm previously indicated.
