Staff with Over 25 Years Service Recognised for Their Loyalty and Dedication

Muscat, 12 March 2011:  Zubair Automotive Group has rewarded a total of 26 Omani and expatriate members of the company for their long service and outstanding loyalty, dedication and professionalism - celebrating employees that have worked with the company for over 25 years.

The long-service awards were presented to staff by His Excellency Mohammad Al Zubair, the founder of The Zubair Group with the presence of Zubair Corporation Chairman Rashad Al Zubair and Zubair Automotive Chairman Hani Al Zubair, at a special event held at the Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa on Wednesday 23rd February where they rewarded employees who worked across the automotive company divisions and in locations across the Sultanate.

A total of seven members of staff have worked for over 30 years with the business including Suleiman Mohammed Abdullah Al Wahaibi, the General Manager for Institutional and Commercial Sales. His outstanding service began with Zubair Automotive since the company started selling its first Chrysler automobiles in Oman in 1973. He first started working for the Zubair Group as far back as 1965 before moving into the automotive business.

The Zubair Automotive Group staff receiving the prestigious long-service awards represented the broadest spectrum of the business - both in terms of their roles and responsibilities and geographic location.  The staff who received awards work in Salalah, Nizwa, Sinaw, Musanna, Athaibah, Seeb, Ghala and Wattayah in roles ranging from auto mechanics, to quality control, servicing, sales, accounting, financing and parts.

One of the reasons for so many staff achieving such long terms of service with the business has been the long-standing commitment of the shareholders towards encouraging training, staff development and a welcoming and inclusive working environment at Zubair Automotive.

Commenting on the awards, Zubair Automotive Group General Manager Mr. Serdar Toktamis said: "We are very proud to have the opportunity to celebrate so many years of outstanding service and dedication to delivering the highest standards of customer service over so many years - reflecting the commitment and policies of the company shareholders to train and retain staff.

Zubair Automotive Group's longest serving staff member Suleiman Mohammed Abdullah Al Wahaibi, speaking on behalf of the 26 employees said: "It has always been an honour to work with Zubair Automotive Group and help the company to grow and develop to become a leader in the automotive business in Oman.

"I have seen tremendous changes during my time with the company and have thoroughly enjoyed the highly rewarding and challenging career Zubair Automotive Group has provided me with.
