Zain KSA announced it will be a strategic sponsor for the ‘Riyadh 2030’ campaign for the Saudi capital’s candidacy to host the 21st Asian Games. Under this sponsorship, Zain KSA will accompany the Kingdom throughout its journey to compete and win the bid to host the 2030 Asian Games in Riyadh.
His Highness Prince Fahd bin Jalawi, Vice President of the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee and Executive Director of the ‘Riyadh 2030’ campaign, extended his gratitude and appreciation to Zain KSA’s top management for joining the list of strategic sponsors for the initiative. He also voiced his fondness of “the great support ‘Riyadh 2030’ has received from the private sector and leading companies, which reflects their confidence and belief in the significance of the Kingdom hosting such global events.”
For his part, Zain KSA CEO Eng. Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al-Deghaither, said "Zain KSA is proud to be at the lead of sponsors for this national campaign which would endorse the position of Saudi Arabia and its capital, Riyadh, across international forums under the venerated guidance and patronage of The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince, as well as the efforts of the Ministry of Sports, represented by Minister of Sports HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal. "Certainly, the Kingdom's official candidacy to host this huge event, which is the second largest sporting event after the Olympic Games and is anticipated by over 5 billion viewers around the world, befits the Kingdom's position and its emergent role in all aspects, driven by the insightful Saudi Vision 2030 and its core focus on transforming Saudi Arabia into a hub for international events, along with fostering a vibrant young community.”
Al-Deghaither added, that it is natural for the Kingdom to be on the global events map, adding that Zain KSA is proud to support and accompany the national efforts towards the Kingdom’s progress by sponsoring such events. “It is our national duty and we are committed to do everything we can to support our country and enhance the life quality of its people and its residents. Notably, Zain KSA is credited as a pioneer who has undertaken a series of initiatives to serve the Kingdom's digital transformation journey, mainly through harnessing the latest 5G technologies to contribute to the advancement towards an integrated, knowledge-based society and economy and the fulfillment of Saudi Vision 2030’s goals. Zain KSA had inaugurated the 5G network at Neom Bay Airport, and provided pilgrims with a unique experience in the 2019 Hajj season by offering 5G access at the main areas in Makkah and the holy sites. The company also made available 5G services during the celebration for launching the tourist visa in the Kingdom.
