His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman, Dubai Airports, and President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, on behalf of Dubai Customs awarded Zafco with a memento on 15 March, 2011. Based on the partnership and professional association Zafco maintained with Dubai Customs, Zafco has been selected as one of the best partners of Dubai Customs.
Quoted shortly after the ceremony Mr. Gopiraj KV, CEO of Zafco commented "Dubai Customs wanted to recognise their key customers based on best practices and the achievement of the award was largely due to the talented Zafco team."
The Gold Award was achieved through a series of audits conducted across Zafco's customs documentation, systems and processes by the audit department of Dubai Customs along with client partnership department at Dubai Customs. The "Gold Award" category is one of the highest levels of classification within the Dubai Customs Award rankings. Zafco successfully achieved the Gold accreditation based on audit findings around system performance and compliance to standards.
