Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 28 May 2008 - Xerox is expanding its flagship Xerox iGen3® Digital Production Press platform with a 90-page-per-minute model that has the same image quality, application flexibility and reliability as the industry-leading Xerox iGen3 110 press.

Extending the range of the successful Xerox iGen3 platform, the Xerox iGen3 90 Digital Production Press will make it easier for print providers who have lower print volumes to enter the high-end digital printing market with a lower capital investment. The Xerox iGen3 digital press family enables jobs like full-color personalized marketing materials, direct-mail pieces and short-run books

"We've listened to our customers and given them a product that is the right fit between the Xerox DocuColor product line and the Xerox iGen3 110," said Chris Govier, General Manager - Production Systems Group Xerox Middle East and Africa.  "The iGen3 90 press will bring customers a more affordable choice in a portfolio designed to meet their specific page volume needs, surpass competitive products and allow them to generate more profits."

Compared to competitive machines, the Xerox iGen3 90 press is more productive, and more reliable, and it offers superior paper handling. The digital press is also modular, making it easy to expand its capabilities so customers can maximize their initial investment.

The iGen3 90 accommodates a wide variety of stock weights (from 60 gsm to 350 gsm) and sizes (from 148mm x 148mm to 364mm x 572mm), allowing print professionals to produce applications such as book jackets, postcards and posters.  Productivity advantages outpace current competitive marketplace offerings, as evident in features like paper capacity with up to 30,000 sheets from 12 trays, so print providers can reload paper less often and use a variety of substrates. The iGen3 90 press also supports a broad range of in-line finishing devices, such as signature booklet making, perfect binding and even in-line UV coating.

The Xerox iGen3 90 press integrates into customers' existing workflow and offers a choice of three color servers, the workstations that process incoming print files and drive the digital press: the Xerox FreeFlow® DocuSP®, Creo Spire and EFI Fiery.

The Xerox iGen3 family is part of the industry's broadest portfolio of high-speed digital color presses that produce offset-quality, revenue-generating print applications such as books, brochures, postcards, posters, calendars and business cards.
