Kuwait City, Kuwait - September 16, 2013 - Dow Chemical in Kuwait sponsored the Teacher's Orientation Day. In line with Dow's long-standing commitment to improving and furthering education, the purpose of this day was to educate new overseas hired teachers on the history, culture, customs and educational methods in Kuwait.
The conference registered attendance of over 200 teachers from various local American, Canadian and bi-lingual Schools. Presenters offered lectures covering many subject areas and topics that are vital to living in Kuwait.

Last year, Dow in Kuwait sponsored the second Kuwait International Educators' Conference which highlighted social responsibility towards students in Kuwait through supporting the latest in educational methods and learning strategies. The conference registered attendance of 600 delegates from 25 English, Arabic and bilingual schools in Kuwait. Presenters offered workshops and lectures of 4 hours duration that covered many subject areas and topics that are vital to the modern educator. Literacy, Understanding by Design, Classroom Management, Special Needs, Math Assessment and Strategies, Gifted and Talented Students, Inquiry Learning in Science, Emotional Intelligence, Dealing with Work Pressure and much more.
