For the first time in Egypt and the Middle East region, Vodafone supports its customers of the prepaid cards and Click Gold with roaming services while the system used to provide such opportunity for monthly subscribers who hold Click Gold cards only.

Eng. Hatem Dowidar, Director of Marketing at Vodafone Egypt, declared that all Vodafone customers can enjoy such roaming services and that the function started in a number of countries. Vodafone shall extend the scope of coverage to include one country after the other to go parallel with roaming services extended to holders of Click Gold cards through 239 networks that exist in 101 countries worldwide.

He added that most travelers, after the appearance of mobile technology, have preferred to use roaming services instead of using public phones and to avoid high telephone bills they used to incur at hotels.

Eng. Hatem Dowidar concluded that effective last June, Vodafone Egypt provided roaming services for tourists who come to Egypt carrying the prepaid cards. He added that Vodafone Egypt is the leading company in the Middle East to make such a service available for tourists visiting Egypt with their prepaid cards instead of confining such a service to the customers with monthly subscription fees. This service shows Vodafone Egypt's commitment to satisfy the needs of domestic and international customers.
