Dubai, 10 September 2008 - International VIP guests were invited by the eminent German watchmakers A. Lange & Söhne for a unique opportunity to visit their hometown Glashütte, near Dresden in Germany.

In the historical city of Dresden, guests were left awe-inspired by the city's rich architecture combined with cultural splendor where German Fine Watchmaking was started by Ferdinand Adolph Lange in 1845. They were truly fascinated by the Lange manufactory tour in the serene town of Glashütte. A private jet then flew the VIPs to Salzburg, where they experienced the globally famed Salzburg Festival, which ran from 26 July to 31 August 2008.

For the second year in a row, A. Lange & Söhne sponsored the Salzburg Whitesun Festival and is also portraying their dedication to arts during the summer event. In line with the Festival, Lange held an exclusive exhibition, the Saxon Art of Watchmaking, demonstrating their fine art of craftsmanship. Guests were given the opportunity to admire stunning photographs of the minute details of watchmaking perfection, to observe master watchmakers or engravers performing their meticulous crafts, to acquaint themselves with the current collection of exclusive timepieces and to listen to one of the interesting lectures on art and culture.

In addition to the Salzburg Festival, A. Lange & Söhne sponsors other projects, such as the "Competizione dell'Opera", an international Italian opera contest and the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden (Dresden State Art Collections).
