Oryx Business Intelligence reports that Mr Thomas W. Gillen, the Mayor of Oswego, New York, commits its support to the destination project - In-Nova International Marina and Yacht Club, and Iconic World-Class Commercialization of Alternative Energy and Wellness Technology.
Like many regions, New York State has experienced a downturn during the recession. However, the city of Oswego currently boasts of a growing commercial seaport, a major expansion of the State University of New York campus and the expansion of several dynamic advanced manufacturing corporations.
The administrative directors and management team of the New York City are focused on positioning the city for significant economic growth in the 21st Century. The Iconic In-Nova development will positively impact on the Central New York State region as a unique model for creating commercialization of products and services. A facility being a sustainable entity utilizing water, solar and wind power for heating/ cooling and creating surplus energy as well as iconic facility for increasing tourism and water-dependent leisure activities.
"With its exclusive circumstances this elegant development to be built on the waterfront of Lake Ontario offers impressive prospects for its stakeholders," commented Ionna Trofimova, Oryx Business Intelligence director. "At this stage we are shortlisting potential shareholders in the Middle East qualified to enroll into the project development along with the New York City state and federal government."
The project owner, Dr Joseph Pilotta, has indicated the project goal is to explore best practices in waterfront development and in particular to provide the base for further investments in the region.
"The Energy and Wellness Science Institute (the facility's business section) will house offices, business services, administrative offices, wet and dry laboratories. That is very important to people in the biotechnology arena," Joseph Pilotta said. There would also be a research and commercial network of 25 companies and about 60 luxury (one- and two-bedroom) apartments that would likely be rented by those working for the biotechnology companies. The structure will be anchored by tethers and will be eco-friendly, utilizing all energy possibilities, including water, wind and solar, without any negative impact on marine life.
It will include an exhibition/ trade center, office and lab space to accommodate 25 companies, an aquarium and aquatic gardens, a multimedia center, 60 luxury apartments and an observation deck.
The yacht and marine club will be included in the complex and will have an enhanced facility. 3,000 sq. ft yacht club will house a maritime museum.
The complex will create about 96 full-time jobs. A "second phase" of jobs would come from the development of the commercialization of the new technology that has been created in the alternative energy sector and in the health and fitness sector.
