As per Global Industry Analysts, the global digital signage systems market is expected to reach $13.8 Billion by 2017
Dubai, UAE, October 3rd, 2013: International Expo Consults (IEC) part of Falak Holding, stated that the world of 'Digital Signage' is set to grow further in 2014 and beyond due to the upcoming malls and mall extensions. According to a report by Global Industry Analysts Inc. the global digital signage systems market is expected to reach $13.8 Billion by 2017. SGI Dubai 2014 is creating a dedicated pavilion for the digital signage industry. SGI is an established 16 year old show where exhibitors and visitors can interact with sign makers, print and production manufacturers, architects, media agencies, real-estate developers, brand and image consultants among others. IEC is the organiser of the show.
SGI Dubai 2014 in its 17th edition aims to welcome over 400 global exhibitors from across 30 countries and expects over 10000 trade visitors from 75 countries to visit UAE during the show in January 2014. The show is being held from 7th - 9th January, 2014 at the Dubai World Trade Center, Halls 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8. This forum will also include seminars and workshops conducted by industry experts.
Digital signs are a form of electronic display that shows menus, information, advertising and other dynamic messages. Digital signs such as LCD, LED or projected images can be found in public and private environments, such as retail stores, hotels, restaurants and corporate buildings.
"If you are driving past Sheikh Zayed Road or if you are at Times Square in New York, digital signage is one common site across all the marketplaces. The industry is definitely growing. UAE is poised to become a large hub for the digital signage market due to the exponential growth that the country is witnessing. Digital Signage are definitely an integral part of the retail ecosystem and will surely revolutionise the industry. Similarly a merchandiser without an 'augmented reality' feature will definitely lose out on the business from the early adopters of this technology as this will be a necessity in the near future," said Mr. Abdul Rahman Falaknaz, Chairman of IEC.
"The market sees digital signage as a more beneficial tool compared to static signage because content can frequently be updated digitally, saving the cost of printing. Today there are wireless digital signage products that can send messages to a person's phone as he moves past a digital signage. Furthermore, merchandisers in the UAE and the Middle East can also make the window shoppers interact through the augmented reality feature in digital signage panels. Increasing adoption among a wider base of industrial sectors as an effective medium for interactive advertising and decreasing costs of purchasing, installation and maintenance also augurs well for the future of the market," said Mr. Sharif Rahman, CEO, IEC.
"Digital signage will no more be just an option but a vital tool within the marketing mix as the industry unveils innovative offerings. We have received tremendous response from the digital signage manufacturers and we anticipate a large gathering from across the globe at SGI Dubai 2014," concluded Mr. Sharif Rahman, CEO, IEC.
