Leading providers of Hyperbaric chambers in the MENA region

Dubai, UAE, 02 February 2017: Al Fajer Emergency Medical Services, the UAE’s first non-hospital training centre for medical professionals accredited by the American Heart Association, has signed an MOU with Australia-based Fink Engineering, the global leader in Hyperbaric chambers.

This key partnership has been announced at the first participation of Al Fajer EMS at the Arab Health Congress 2017, reputed for delivering the highest quality of Continuing Medical Education (CME) to medical professionals in the region.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is an intervention in which an individual breathes 100% oxygen whilst inside a hyperbaric chamber that is pressurized to a level 1.5 to 3 times greater than sea level pressure. HBOT assists healing and response to infection via multiple mechanisms with recommended indications for use including air embolism, carbon monoxide poisoning, gas gangrene, crush injury, decompression sickness, necrotising soft tissue infections, delayed radiation injury, compromised grafts and flaps and problem diabetic wounds amongst others.

Mr. Mohammed Al Beloushi, CEO, Al Fajer EMS, said: “Our partnership with Fink Engineering is a perfect fit that supports our active commitment to collaborate with world-class health providers and nurture the UAE’s growth across the medical training services industry. We are extremely proud to be named Fink Engineering’s official partner and we look forward to building a long and prosperous business partnership.”

Mr. Eric Fink, Founder, Owner and Managing Director of Fink Engineering, added: "We are pleased to collaborate with Al Fajer EMS, which is a recognized leader in medical training services in the region. The goals of our association with Al Fajer EMS are two-fold: to further raise the standards of holistic healthcare in the region and bring our state-of-the-art technology in hyperbaric oxygen therapy. We bring together our core strengths to offer solutions which combine an innovative design approach with advanced engineering and fabrication facilities that will benefit millions of patients. The Middle East and North Africa has become one of the most lucrative markets for healthcare technology providers like us."

The UAE’s leaders have paved the way for a rapidly expanding healthcare system to meet the medical needs of Emiratis and expatriates, and a recent snapshot of the country’s health sector shows there is room for growth. According to the UAE Healthcare Sector Outlook 2020, RNCOS, a global business consultancy, the market is expected to grow at an average annual rate of 7 percent over the next four years.

Al Fajer EMS will be rolling out a series of medical seminars covering all aspects of Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy during Arab Health which runs from January 30 to February 2, with a world-renowned medical expert, Dr. Ian Millar from the Alfred Hospital, Melbourne, Australia.

About Fink Engineering
Fink Engineering (FE) based in Queensland, Australia combines an innovative design approach with state-of-the-art engineering and fabrication facilities to redefine the form and function of medical hyperbaric chambers. FE pioneered the design and development of the rectangular shape for hyperbaric chambers back in 1994 and were the first company internationally to design such a chamber (for the Royal Adelaide Hospital) which has been used effectively ever since. The company recognised early on that this shape would ultimately become the standard for all future medical hyperbaric treatment facilities simply because of its user-friendly design and cost effective build. Its track record proves it has successfully achieved this goal with chambers now operating not only in Australia but also in the USA, Canada, Singapore, New Zealand and the Middle East and soon to be in Europe.
