Dubai, United Arab Emirates: 1 February, 2011 - Travelport, the business services provider to the global travel industry, has developed a customised ticket management tool that gives Galileo-connected travel agents in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) the ability to efficiently refund and re-issue tickets.
With the increasing complexity of managing electronic tickets within the travel space, Ticketing Manager provides the MEA travel trade with an accurate way of issuing refunds and exchanges, allowing travel agencies in the region to save time and money by streamlining the entire ticketing process.
Using the convenient graphical user interface (GUI) format of the new tool, travel consultants can perform standard ticketing and related functionalities without having to use cryptic entry. The user-friendly drop down forms also allows a user to build separate fare files, improving the efficiency of an agent's workflow.
According to Hari Kumar, Director of Regional Product Support, Middle East and Africa (MEA), the tailor-made solution responds to the unique requirements of the travel trade in the region, helping agencies generate important cost savings by issuing refunds and exchanges more efficiently.
"The availability of Travelport's new Ticketing Manager tool reinforces our commitment to provide our customers in the Middle East and Africa with value-added solutions that increase the efficiency of their day-to-day operations," he said. This enhancement has been specifically developed with our MEA customers in mind, and we are confident that it will meet their evolving ticketing needs."
Galileo-connected travel agents can download Ticketing Manager through their respective online Galileo Services portal. A shortcut to the product will then be created on their Galileo desktop.
