Their Royal Highnesses Princess Ghida Talal and Princess Dina Mired were invited by Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Salma of Morocco to attend the four-year anniversary celebration of the Lalla Salma Association to Fight Cancer (ALSC).  Founded by Princess Lalla Salma, ALSC provides support for cancer patients and their families, promotes cancer awareness, and supports local treatment centers.

In a special meeting with Princess Lalla Salma, Princess Ghida held a presentation on the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC).  Princess Ghida highlighted the current structure and strategies of the Foundation while recalling the early steps that were a necessary prelude to achieving the international recognition that the Center has today.  KHCC currently holds one national and three international accreditations, a testament to the exceptionally high standards of comprehensive care it offers.

Princess Dina presented information on KHCF's fundraising activities which go towards upgrading the medical capacity of the Center, supporting the prevention and control of cancer and supporting patients as a whole.  Princess Dina emphasized the role of the community in supporting the fight against cancer, stating that the disease was a burden that should not rest on any one individual or organization.  Dr. Mahmoud Sarhan, CEO of KHCC, gave a presentation on the Center's achievements.

During the visit, both Princess Ghida and Princess Dina underlined KHCF's and KHCC's willingness to cooperate with the Lalla Salma Association on all levels of the fight against cancer.
