The Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa unveils the opening of a new culinary destination serving true Italian fare.  Formerly a Moroccan restaurant, this new Italian eatery promises high standards of Italian sophisticated dining.

Klaus Niefer, General Manager of The Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa explains "Looking at the dynamic mix of guests patronizing the hotel, we have taken the decision to convert Agadir, our Moroccan dining outlet into an Italian restaurant.  We believe that the opening of our new restaurant will further enrich our culinary offerings.  Guests will have the opportunity to indulge in an unrivalled experience offering hand crafted Italian Cuisine coupled with cozy, inviting Italian ambience, where residents and hotel guests can gather for easygoing lunches on weekends, early evening bites, aperitivos and enjoy al fresco dinner"

The Italian restaurant, scheduled to open by end of September 2014, will feature contemporary Italian restaurant look and feel, while featuring stunning "Cucina Italiana" by sourcing the best ingredients directly from Italy.

The menu, designed by Executive Chef, David Contreras and Chef de Cuisine ,Stefano Micocci is inspired by Florence and will be strong on fresh, weekly delivered Italian produce and the mastering of the classics and modern cooking techniques. The menu will feature most of Italian favorites, antipasti's, handmade pastas, "alla Piedra" pizza and signature dishes as "Tagliata Florentina" ritually carved at the table.

Executive Chef, David Contreras comments "The menu is artfully designed to impress the palates of all our guests. With this new concept, I truly believe our culinary offerings will position high on the Capital's gourmet scene, allowing us to showcase even further our cuisine philosophy and ultimate quality ingredients. Stefano will bring in his expertise and his passion for Italian food, which will be reflected on every single dish"

This impressive Italian Cuisine will be complemented by extensive collection of beverages, including bold, contemporary cocktail list that weaves together classic Italian influences and flavors in new and exciting combinations.

The restaurant will be open for dinner throughout the week and for lunch on weekends and public holidays

With its warm, contemporary décor, much-coveted Chef's table, lounge seating and private dining area, complimented with friendly attentive service, the soon to be open restaurant is all set to become the premium Italian restaurant venue for Hotel guests as well as the residents of UAE, who are looking for an elegant yet relaxed environment to create and share wonderful memories together. 

In addition to the opening of the Italian restaurant, The Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa offers five additional culinary outlets including Fairways, an all-day dining restaurant well-known for its Friday Brunch- Bubbalicious and the popular pub, The Retreat.
