His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa Bin Jasem Al Thani, Chairman of the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will open the Qatar National Talent Summit 2010 at the QFBA, Qatar Finance Center on November 7th this year.

The Summit, hosted by the QFBA and led by Oxford Strategic Consulting, one of the UK's leaders in strategic HR and talent consultancy, brings together business, senior government officials and national leaders, for an exclusive program that both educates and inpires on how to build powerful strategic capabilities in support of the Nation's flagship development strategy, Qatar Vision 2030.

"The Qatar National Talent Summit will enable senior business and government leaders to review the latest research on how to effectively maximise strategic national talent in GCC organisations and countries." says Oxford Strategic Consulting's Professor William Scott Jackson.

"It is critically important today that they can build the talent needed to lead growth and development, both in Qatar, the other GCC States and their industries to meet future strategic goals. It should not be treated as an employment issue but as an opportunity to build strategic capabilities for companies, governments and the GCC countries themselves."

Leaders in the field will recommend new approaches to developing the crucial Differentiating Capabilities (DiSCs) and talents needed to meet key strategic objectives and achieve competitive advantage in the region. National Talent Summit partners Strategy Regeneration (SRg), specialists in creating strategic innovation, will present Blue Ocean Strategy, a range of advanced approaches to developing forward thinking strategy for meeting fast changing challenges. and building success through innovation.

The Summit will be followed, on Monday 8th November, by a high impact Masterclass run by Professor William Scott-Jackson and Professor Jens Meyer for Managers responsible for implementing strategy and nationalization programmes. The workshop will provide a powerful and practical take-away methodology capable of creating immediate and sustainable impact for Managers and their teams.

Throughout the Summit, delegates will be given the opportunity to breakout into small groups of GCC business and government leaders to discuss and find solutions to the challenges facing their organisation. Delegates will also able to take advantage of open networking, and individual one-to-one Diagnosis-to-Action sessions with industry experts.
