The first Monte-Carlo SBM property outside Monaco opens on the breathtaking Saadiyat Beach in Abu Dhabi offering members access to a range of exclusive services including an authentic taste of the Riviera
Set on the stunning Saadiyat Beach, where the azure waters of the Gulf softly lap against the pristine white sands of the shore, a new beach club is now offering its members an unrivalled experience of luxury, relaxation and bespoke hospitality. The Monte-Carlo Beach Club, Saadiyat is now open following a soft launch earlier in September, bringing a slice of the Riviera to Abu Dhabi.
The Monte-Carlo lifestyle is built around the concepts of exclusivity, relaxation and chic living. The Monte-Carlo Beach Club, Saadiyat, is set in the heart of Saadiyat Beach, where it offers a vast and cool swimming pool where one can bask in the sunshine or relax in private cabanas. A short stroll over a wooden walkway takes guests to the beach, where they can take a dip in the shimmering blue sea. Visiting the club will give many the first opportunity to walk on the pristine sands of Saadiyat Beach; watching the sunset in this setting is a true delight to the senses.
The exclusive members-only club can be accessed for an annual fee. Non-members can use the beach and pool area for a daily or weekend entrance charge. Bookings are also taken throughout the week for diners to sample authentic cuisine from around the Mediterranean, from the French and Italian Rivieras, to the Levant at the various restaurants.
Members' perks include two members-only cocktail receptions per year, two fitness assessments, ten daily beach club passes for guests and a complimentary spa treatment. A membership card also gives the holder a credit facility for up to a month and 15 per cent off all food and beverage bills. Members are also entitled to access to the original 1920's Monte Carlo Beach Club in Monaco.
Patrick Nayrolles, General Manager of the Monte-Carlo Beach Club, Saadiyat said: "From early morning to late at night, our staff work tirelessly to make sure we provide the true Monte-Carlo lifestyle for our members and guests. We have worked really hard to make sure that by day we have a relaxed family environment that transforms into a buzzing venue after the sun sets."
Four restaurants and lounges have been specially tailored to ensure all tastes and whims are catered for: the stylish Library Lounge is a members-only sanctuary, which offers light refreshments; people can enjoy laid-back fun and refreshing drinks at Bubbles Bar, while enjoying the sunset over the Arabian Gulf; an array of Mediterranean specialties are prepared by award-winning chefs at the all-day dining restaurant, Le Deck, in a warm setting surrounded by ocean-inspired artwork; for the Abu Dhabi glitterati, the ultra-cool Sea Lounge is the perfect place to party. In the evenings, Sea Lounge will become one of the most up market venues the region has to offer - a place to mix with the country's movers and shakers, while enjoying music provided by renowned DJ Natalie Brogan and special nights hosted by the legendary Must Have Soul.
A luxury spa features separate facilities for men and women, each of which consist of a treatment room, steam room, sauna, cold plunge pool, Jacuzzi and spacious relaxation area,. A series of treatments are available, which take guests to a whole new level of wellbeing, including the Monte-Carlo Extravagance Ritual, which consists of reflexology, a body polish, body wrap, full-body massage, facial, head massage, followed by lunch.
The more energetic can use the facilities at the state-of-the-art Workout Room gym, where they can enjoy ongoing wellness education, fitness assessments and health screenings, group and ladies-only exercise classes, and personal training. The gym features the most current Technogym equipment and views of Saadiyat Beach. In the second quarter of 2012, a kids' club will also be available, featuring a full activities calendar to keep the young ones entertained.
The Monte-Carlo Beach Club, Saadiyat is operated by Monte-Carlo SBM, which was founded in 1863 and created the original Monte-Carlo Beach Club in Monaco in the 1920s. Since then, Monte-Carlo SBM has become synonymous with impeccable service, and is frequented by some of the world's richest and most influential people. The Saadiyat club is the first Monte-Carlo SBM property to be opened outside of Monaco, meaning discerning clientele in the Middle East can now experience the brand's one-of-a-kind level of hospitality.
"We are proud to launch this concept on Saadiyat, in an area of outstanding natural beauty which is set to become one of the most vibrant and exciting places in the world," said Patrick Nayrolles. "The Monte Carlo Beach Club, Saadiyat is something that will be enjoyed by Abu Dhabi's elite and high society. The combination of luxury, world-class leisure facilities and the breathtaking natural environment is something that cannot be experienced in any other beach club in the region."
The Monte-Carlo Beach Club, Saadiyat was developed by Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC), a master developer of cultural, residential and tourism destinations in Abu Dhabi, and its official launch marks a series of firsts for the region.
