Jumeirah International resort named in prestigious magazine's annual list of the 500 greatest hotels and resorts in the world

Dubai, January 9th 2005:  Featured in the January issue of Travel + Leisure magazine, the 2005 Travel + Leisure 500 List names The Jumeirah Beach Hotel as one of the greatest hotels in the world.

The Travel + Leisure 500 identifies the 5oo highest-rated properties in the world, and includes insider information about each hotel.  Regarded as one of the most reliable and comprehensive guides to the world's best hotels and resorts, the exclusive Travel + Leisure 500 list is compiled from the World's Best Awards survey results.  With further input from the most discerning travelers, Travel + Leisure insiders from around the globe select only the properties that have demonstrated and maintained a track record of excellence in order to compile the list.

"We are honoured to be recognized by such a prestigious publication," said Robert Kunkler, General Manager of The Jumeirah Beach Hotel.

This year's Travel + Leisure 500 includes 169 properties that have been listed for the first time, and hotels in the Middle East and Africa are amongst the highest-scoring properties.
