GORINCHEM, The Netherlands, 08 September 2009/PRNewswire/ -- XSPlatforms has won a prestigious multimillion Euro contract to supply ten large telescopic installations for Abu Dhabi's Sowwah Square project. The contract is a result of XSPlatforms' previous made-to-measure projects in the United Arab Emirates through its own branch in Dubai.

The project

Abu Dhabi's Sowwah Square project totals 29,400 square meters of office space and features the iconic new headquarters building (53 metres height) for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, which is surrounded by four office towers of up to 36 storeys each, all overlooking the water. The complex is scheduled for completion at the end of 2010.

High tech

XSPlatforms will supply ten fixed and movable telescopic roof cars. The vertical telescopic machine base (for out-of-sight parking), 30-metre jib reach, luffable jibs and telescopic cradles make this project special. For the headquarters building, XSPlatforms will be supplying two traversing telescopic roof cars with a reach of up to 38 metres.

All ten telescopic machines will be provided with glass replacement units for lifting weights of up to 650 kg. XSPlatforms will also supply approximately 700 metres of monorail, including cradles and special trolleys, to cover the internal side areas and the underside ceiling of the headquarters building.
