Dubai, United Arab Emirates, October 31, 2012 - Tefal, one of the industry leaders in kitchen appliances showcased its recently launched Tefal Actifry fryers range at SIAL, one of the world's largest food innovation exhibitions, which concluded recently in Paris. Tefal's presence in the exhibition is a step forward to affirm its role as an active member of the Nutrition World.

At the exhibition, Tefal organized an open discussion about nutrition and improving eating habits, attended by doctors and nutritionists from all over the world. The discussion focused on how to eliminate bad and unhealthy eating habits such as eating too fast, eating too much food with high calories or fat content, and adding too much salt.

Dr. Wafa Ayesh, Director of Nutrition at Dubai Health Authority, and Dr. Abdulrazzaq Ali Al Madani, Consultant in Clinical Nutrition - Ex Vice President of the Saudi Society for Food and Nutrition were present at the exhibition.

Dr Wafa Ayesh attended the discussion and provided her insights on the healthy eating habits.

"Doctors' role is to advise people to eat more of healthy food such as fruits and vegetables, and the industry's role is to facilitate consumers' lives by bringing convenient products for healthy cooking," said Dr. Ayesh.

Tefal presented Tefal Actifry range at the exhibition including the new Actifry 2in1, which can be part of everyday life for healthy & tasty food.  Actifry is convenient, and easy to use, allowing consumers in the Middle East to cook local dishes like samosas, kebbe, etc, just with one spoon of oil. The spoon gives the right amount of oil and salt that is required in dishes.

Commenting on the collaboration of Tefal Actifry toward healthy eating habits, Dr. Wafa Ayesh said, 'The Actifry range helps consumers change their cooking habits into healthy ones with no compromise on taste and enjoyment."

Tefal Actifry 2in1 is an extension of the Tefal Actifry range which was first launched in 2007. Tefal Actifry 2in1 has been designed with 2 versatile cooking zones - healthy cooking plate and bowl, benefitting from a patented technology introduced in the market for the first time. The Actifry 2in1, which is made in France, allows consumers to cook a wider variety of dishes such as samosas, kebbe, nuggets, chicken, fish etc.

SIAL is one of the industry's most prominent events worldwide, with around 5800 exhibitors and 135,000 visitors from 106 countries.
