10-week training programme to enhance customer service

Dubai, March 3, 2007: Tasjeel, the leading vehicle testing and registration service offered by ENOC, has embarked on a 10-week training programme for 63 staff members to teach them advanced technology in automotive engineering.

Aimed at enhancing efficiency and customer service of Tasjeel's vehicle testing and registration centres, the training programme, worth over a quarter of a million dirhams, commenced on the 12th of February 2007 at the Tasjeel Sharjah Auto Village.

Staff participating in the training programme include 13 Assistants Site Managers and Trainee Assistant Managers and 50 Technical Supervisors and Vehicle Technicians. In addition, several technical members of the RTA, Dubai and Sharjah Police are also attending the training programme.

On the significant initiative, Ayas Bin Hindi, Manager of Tasjeel, said, "As a private vehicle testing and registration service centre, it is imperative to maintain the required level and standard of services for our valued customers. Training and equipping staff with the latest automotive engineering knowledge and skills are vital to maintaining our leadership position in the industry."

The programme entails theory sessions as well as practical training, which will include a visit to the institute's facility in Dubai. Through a training institute, staff training is customised and broken down into two groups: one for Assistant Site Managers and Trainee Assistant Site Managers, and the other for Technical Supervisors and Vehicle Technicians.

The programme for the first group includes details of automotive engineering, which are steering system, brake system, tires and rims, body and chassis. Whilst the other programme comprises repair technology for vehicles after collision, chassis and body repair procedures, type of welding approved for repair and limits for accepted repair.

"Further 'specialist' training programmes will be worked out with leading automotive companies at their more extensive training facilities after this training is completed in April 2007", added Ayas Bin Hindi.
