Dubai, United Arab Emirates November 1, 2005: TAS International (TAS) announces the signing of a Letter of Award with Palm District Cooling (PDC) for the design and build of four district cooling plants off the coast of Dubai, UAE. These plants will deliver 120,000 tons of cooling to commercial and residential buildings for The Crescent of The Palm, Jumeirah. This prestigious development by Nakheel, is the premier commercial and residential project in the Middle East. It has been called the Eighth Wonder of the World and is the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince and Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Defense.

At 120,000 tons, The Crescent of The Palm, Jumeirah will not only be one of the world's largest packaged district cooling projects, but will also be one of the most efficient. TAS' innovative packaged chilled water plants provide exceedingly high guaranteed system efficiencies due to extensive design optimization. The use of Trane's highly efficient CenTraVac ? centrifugal chillers, help ensure maximum plant efficiency. TAS has formed a project consortium with Adearest, a UAE based mechanical contractor, to supply a turnkey solution to PDC, with TAS providing the complete packaged cooling solution and Adearest providing the installation and balance of site infrastructure. Lowering life cycle cost through reduced energy consumption over the life of the facility is important to PDC, with TAS' efficiency guarantee being a key reason for the selection of the TAS/Adearest team.

Keith Levers, Director of PDC, stated "PDC evaluates all of our capital purchases on a detailed life cycle cost basis, the choice of the TAS/Adearest team was made due to our confidence that their packaged solution would provide the best life cycle value for our most prestigious project to date." Craig Hurlbert, President & COO of TAS adds, "TAS is excited to be able to provide another efficient packaged solution to the growing Dubai market. This is validation that guaranteed efficiencies and ISO 9001:2000 quality are valued in this very competitive market."

In realization of the market potential in The Gulf region, TAS chose Dubai as its Middle Eastern headquarters earlier this year. TAS Middle East, FZE supports sales efforts throughout the Middle East, India and Africa. "We are excited to have a local presence here in Dubai. Our goal is to provide local infrastructure to market, manufacture and deliver sufficient tons of chilling to satisfy continued explosive demand," said Keith Evans, Director TAS Middle East, FZE.

The Crescent of The Palm, Jumeirah district cooling plants will be designed, manufactured and installed by TAS over a three-year period, starting with initial delivery of two plants in the middle of 2006. The final two plants will be handed over to PDC in August of 2008. This project is commencing just as TAS completes the installation of a 60,000-ton plant a short distance away for the Jumeirah Beach Residence complex. This project was awarded in November of 2003.
