Wide-ranging social activities offered and tailor-made for patients with special needs
Kuwait - Tamdeen Shopping Centers Company is hosting a special week for Handicapped patients, taking place at Madinat Al Fahaheel's Al-Kout Shopping Center from the 9th until the 13th of September. The program officially kicked-off with a live opening performance show called "Assakom Min Awwadah" performed by special needs patients, in alliance with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, on the 9th of September at Al-Kout Shopping Center.
The "Assakom Min Awwadah" show, which was open to the general public, was presided over by Mr. Ahmed Al-Sarawi - Vice Chairman & CEO of Tamdeen Shopping Centers, Mr. Khalid Al Mahdy - Director of the Handicapped Department at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, top government officials and VIP guests. The program is designed by Madinat Al Fahaheel to promote the notion of family unity and to help raise awareness about patients with special needs.
All participating patients in the show are under the care of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor's Handicapped Department and have spent plenty of time practicing before their big public performance at Al-Kout Shopping Center, a moment that resembles a unique Ramadan highlight for them.
Vice Chairman and CEO of Tamdeen Shopping Centers, Mr. Ahmed Al Sarawi, said: We are delighted to be hosting this very special event here at Madinat Al Fahaheel (Al Kout Shopping Center). Since Ramadan is a time of giving and selflessness, we are proud to be able to contribute to the community through bringing joy to our very special guests, rendering this unique event a pleasure for all to attend.

Mr. Al Sarawi further reiterated that the five-day event will shed more light on the creative capabilities of the special needs patients and that Tamdeen Shopping Centers' role is to provide them with an opportunity to further integrate with members of the society.
Director of the Handicapped Department at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, Mr. Khalid Al Mahdy said: "Tamdeen's great initiative in hosting one of Kuwait's biggest Ramadan events has generated a lot of excitement amongst the patients. We are grateful for the support of Tamdeen in hosting such events and allowing our patients to communicate with community members through their various talents."
This was Tamdeen Shopping Center's latest initiative towards adding joy and happiness to the lives of special needs patients during the holy month of Ramadan. It comes from Tamdeen's fully-fledged commitment to holding such events that enhances its role as a socially responsible leading Kuwaiti institution among many diverse groups of the community.
