Dubai: NMC and Dubai Ambulance Services strengthened their association with the meeting of the leadership teams as lead by the Executive Director of Dubai Ambulance Services, Khalifa Al Darrai and the CEO of NMC Healthcare, Michael Brenden Davis.
H.E. Khalifa Al Darrai, Executive Director of Dubai Ambulance Services, received a sophisticated ambulance from NMC Healthcare to add to the "First Responder" range dedicated to the rapid access of accident cases, which the group has dedicated to Dubai Foundation - in support of the fruitful partnership between the two sides.
H.E. Khalifa Al Darrai, Executive Director of Dubai Ambulance Services, said: "We are always seeking to develop our emergency services in all possible ways, including activating our partnerships with all health sector institutions and bodies, and we see NMC Healthcare as an active partner in the development and improvement of community healthcare services, an initiative that is capable of supporting the first line of defense.”
He added: "We have a partnership of more than six years with NMC Healthcare, through which we have been able to provide fast and high-quality services to members of the community whose health condition required access to emergency medical care.”
Michael Brenden Davis, CEO of NMC Healthcare, handed over the keys to the Nissan GTR to the foundation to add to the first responder's fleet of cars.
"We are grateful to the Dubai Ambulance Services’ management for their faith in our ability to deliver on our shared goal of keeping our community safe. NMC is proud of this partnership and will continue our work to enrich this association,” he said.
The hospital said, it had saved and looked after over 10000 patients rescued via the Dubai Ambulance Services with 650 on an average per month. The hospital was awarded the best hospital award by Dubai Ambulance Services in a brief event held in the year 2018.
This cooperation between the government and private sectors comes within the framework of the implementation of the government's directives aimed at activating the role of the private sector in the field of health to achieve the integration of services in the health system at the state level considering the current health developments that the whole world is going through.
Dubai Ambulance Services and NMC Healthcare got into an agreement in 2015 and thereafter the ambulances started bringing in the trauma, roadside accidents, and crash victims to NMC facilities at DIP and Al Nahda. Dubai Ambulance Services also maintains a Despatch Centre of 5 ambulances at NMC Hospital, DIP, Dubai.
