Amman: Under the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, Spark Jordan is proud to announce the launch of its 2019 Career Day, “Spark Career Day” - organized by Akhtaboot - on Monday, 4th of November 2019 at the Landmark Hotel Amman, “The Royal Hall” from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm.
The career day targets Spark’s very own grant beneficiaries, both Jordanians and Syrians, who are looking to find competitive employment opportunities covering a wide range of fields and technical specializations, including but not limited to engineering, hospitality, healthcare management, retail and IT.
The job fair will host over 30 leading Jordanian and international companies that have real vacancies covering a wide range of business fields and professions. All 1,240 available vacancies have been posted on Spark Jordan’s Facebook Page.
Haneen Khatib, Country Manager at Spark Jordan said: “By launching the SPARK Career Day, we hope to continue to support both refugees and the vulnerable Jordanian host community through providing direct access into jobs. This event is also the result of 3 years of providing higher education and internship opportunities that benefited over 1,500 youth in Jordan. Spark is always on the lookout for ways to overcome the challenges facing developing countries that are responding to crises and we focus specifically on up-skilling and equipping young women and men with the knowledge and tools needed to enter the labor market. We hope that our contribution that is generously supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, will continue to contribute to the greater economic growth in Jordan”.
Spark’s Career Day will run for one day at the Landmark Hotel Amman and will feature a number courses on topics related to career progression such as CV writing and interview skills.
