Camera line- up for style-conscious, tech-savvy people

Dubai - 08 September 2007: During GITEX 2007, Sony Gulf is showcasing its latest range of Cyber-shot digital still cameras featuring attractive form factors and advanced technologies to shoot high quality still images. On showcase will be the latest Cyber-shot T-series (DSC-T20 & T100), the W-series (DSC-W200, W90 & W80) and the H-series (DSC-H3, H7 & H9) still cameras along with a host of accessories and lenses.

Cyber-shot T-series - DSC- T100 & T20 

The Cyber-shot T100 is the first T-Series Cyber-shot camera to include a 5x Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar® lens that gets closer to the action with the most powerful optical zoom performance found on any Sony compact camera. An ideal partner for the camera's powerful 5x zoom lens is Sony's Double Anti-blur technology, which teams the Super SteadyShot (Sony's optical image stabilizer), with an extremely high sensitivity of ISO 3200, allowing the T100 to capture clearer, blur-free images indoors or in difficult low light conditions without flash. This model is available in three exciting colours; red, silver and black.

The Cyber-shot T20 sets new standards for crisper, clear pictures from an incredibly compact, slim-line camera. At 8.1 effective megapixels, its sensor offers the highest resolution yet of any T Series Cyber-shot. Image quality is further assured by the Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar® 3x optical zoom lens.

The T20 also includes the new Sony Face Detection technology (also available in the DSC-T100). This harnesses the power of the BIONZ imaging processor (that is also present in Sony's digital SLR camera Alpha) to ensure that beautifully-exposed, perfectly focused faces are captured ... just as they should be. The hardware-based processor can rapidly recognise and track up to eight human faces in different scenes, automatically optimising focus, exposure, flash with red-eye reduction, white balance and colour settings accordingly. The result: beautiful portraits and group shots under different conditions, even in low light or with moving subjects.

Cyber-shot W-series (DSC-W200, W80 & W90)

Cyber-shot DSC-W200 is the first Cyber-shot W-Series camera to feature 12.1 effective megapixels. This model although compact, packs an impressive array of features into its super slim shell. It effortlessly combines the convenience of pocket-sized portability with the latest ground breaking technology. Another clever feature is Double Anti-Blur technology which combines Super SteadyShot image stabilisation with an extremely high sensitivity of ISO 3200, simply meaning you can capture clear, un-blurred images even in low light conditions or without flash.

The Cyber-shot W90 is an advanced yet stylish and easy to use camera, with 8.1 effective megapixels, Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar® 3x optical zoom lens and a large 2.5 inch LCD screen to preview shots. The W90 has a stylish metal finish and comes in both stylish silver and sleek black. For those who want to express themselves in colour, the Cyber-shot W80 is available in four eye catching varieties - silver, black, white and pink. The Cyber-shot W80 captures your memories with 7.2 mega pixel capacity and Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 3x optical zoom lens.

Both cameras feature full HD quality connectivity, still images can be enjoyed with the highest possible quality on any BRAVIA television or HD-ready display (requires optional connection cable or HD docking station) offering users the ability to print stunning images or even enjoy them time and time again.

Double Anti-Blur technology ensures the W80 and W90 will capture blur free images regardless of your surroundings. Both also feature the technology to take high quality images even in low light conditions without flash.

Cyber-shot H-series (DSC-H3, H7 & H9)

The Cyber-shot H3 is the smallest ever Cyber-shot featuring a Carl Zeiss 10x zoom lens. The powerful optical zoom pulls distant subjects closer with superb clarity. Its wide range also broadens the scope of framing options for greater creative possibilities - from expansive landscapes and intimate portraits to dynamic nature shots and sporting scenes. Magnification is boosted further still by the 17x HD Smart Zoom (in 16:9 shooting mode) for powerful telephoto images that can be enjoyed with stunning quality on a large HD-Ready television. Weighing a little over 250 grams, you'll find the H3 is compact and light enough to carry with you on all occasions.

The Cyber-shot H3 keeps pace with the action in challenging situations like live sports where anything can happen. A new Advanced Sports Shooting Mode teams a high 1/2000 sec shutter speed with predictive auto-focus for crisp, clear capture of fast-moving subjects that can pose problems for other compact digital cameras.

The Cyber-shot H7 and H9 are perfect for those who want to make the most of their photography by exploring the cameras wide-ranging features. Both have an impressive and compact Carl Zeiss 15x optical zoom lens bringing incredible clarity to faraway action. With 8.1 effective mega pixel quality, you'll have the power of sharper shooting at your fingertips.

To maximise picture quality, both models include double anti-blur technology, reducing the risk of hand shake blurring your pictures, especially during difficult low light conditions without flash. By teaming image stabilisation with an extremely high sensitivity of ISO 3200 you'll get clearer, blur-free results and fewer spoiled pictures.

With Face Detection technology the H7 and H9 effortlessly recognise and tracks up to eight human faces in any scene, automatically optimising focus, exposure and flash.
