Abu Dhabi National Paper Mill (ADNPM) has incorporated a series of quality actions aimed at producing high quality tissue. A sophisticated Softness Tester has been employed to ensure uniform softness across products, plus the tissue's high Wet Strength places it among global leaders. The new Web Inspection System, which will be operational soon, checks for mechanical defects, delivering higher efficiency and quality. It will be the first such system for tissue products in the region and will give the customers immense benefits in operating their converting lines.
Environmentally, ADNPM is able to run its products on TCF or ECF pulp, FSC or PEFC pulp and used paper - which means FSC certified waste paper. Customers are involved in these decisions, as partners in the cause. ADNPM has a de-inking plant and sees itself as a company that takes on responsibility especially when it comes to environmentally oriented use of recovered paper as a raw material for the production of hygiene paper.
ADNPM, established in the year 2000, annually produces around 65,000 tonnes of tissue paper on two paper machines. The tissue is used in making facial and toilet tissues, kitchen and hand towels, napkins and interfold, in FDA approved colours.
ADNPM's certifications include ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007. The company's accredited Integrated Management System further ensures that the tissue meets the most stringent production standards. ADNPM is the first Forest Stewardship Council Chain of Custody (FSC CoC) certified tissue paper manufacturing company in the Middle East - which means the wood fiber or pulp used in its FSC certified products comes from well managed forests. ADNPM's committed responsible production practices enable customers to make socially and environmentally responsible decisions.
