PARIS - Schlumberger Smart Cards & Terminals has been chosen for the second time running by the French bank Societe Generale to provide payment terminals and services to the bank's retail customers as part of its Progecarte offer.
Progecarte is a turnkey rental offer of point-of-sale (POS) terminals to retailers. It includes distribution, installation, training, assistance and maintenance services.
Societe Generale's choice reflects its recognition of the unique experience that Schlumberger has acquired throughout four years of operating and perfecting the Progecarte offer for 30,000 professionals.
Schlumberger will continue to manage the contracts that Societe Generale's representatives offer its clients. In this way, Schlumberger will enhance its expertise as a leader in POS-related merchant services.

The second stage of Progecarte, which is supplied by two large manufacturers, features Schlumberger MagIC* Evolution fixed and mobile point-of-sale terminals, which will be in the bank's catalog. Certified EMV level 2, the new ergonomically designed terminals will ensure the performance and durability of the Progecarte offer.
