For the year 2007, the outdoor advertising spend is expected to increase by at least 8 percent. The number of companies seeking a share of outdoor space has increased substantially. The industry is in for a boon particularly the large format outdoor signage. The mega projects in Dubai have fuelled a tremendous demand in large signage category. The biggest and the largest trend is catching up with outdoors, Dubai is on its way to create the biggest outdoor signs in the world. The presence of more than 270 companies in Sign & Graphics 2007 establishes the fact that Dubai has emerged as the Middle East hub of advertising and the emirate has become a catalyst for growth of the industry across the region."
