A number of VIPs took a close look at the handcrafted exhibits of the designer Sevan Bicakci, renowned globally as "The Lord of the Rings'. A participant in several international museums, Bicakci's works currently feature in; The Victoria & Albert Museum of London, The Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization in the UAE, The Beiteddine Palace in Beirut and The National Museum in Damascus and Riyadh.
Sevan Bicakci was present during the Jewellery Salon in Jeddah from the 15th-18th of April 2012 and in Riyadh from the 23rd - 26th of April 2012 with his exclusive partner Mohammed A.H. Fitaihi of Fitaihi Junior.
His designs now have a universal appeal, but deep within there is an indelible Turkish aura around them, and therein lays his greatest appeal.
Mohammed A.H. Fitaihi of Fitaihi Junior, the exclusive partner of Sevan Bicakci within the Kingdom, was present at both the Jewellery Salon in Jeddah at Hilton Hotel, as well as in Riyadh at the Al Faisaliyah Hotel. 200 pieces of Sevan Bicakci's Turkish cultural heritage and nature inspired jewellery designs were on display, described by many visitors as "astonishing, miraculous and inspiring."
"It has been a great opportunity to showcase the latest collection of Sevan Bicakci to the savvy Saudi community. When it comes to rings, people enjoy standing out and getting the most elaborate in jewellery," Fitaihi said, adding: "The Sevan Bicakci Jewellery collection is definitely all of that and more."
Each piece of Sevan Bicakci's jewellery is handcrafted from combinations of elements such as gold, silver, uniquely cut gemstones, antique cut diamonds, acrylic paintings, enamel, stained glass, porcelain and ceramic serving as materials for incredibly delicate micro-mosaic work, bone, ivory, ebony wood, mother of pearl and gigantic South Sea pearls.
Sevan Bicakci featured almost their entire collection at the Sunaidi exhibitions in Saudi Arabia this year, leaving very little behind in Turkey. Every piece is a work of art surpassing the sheer notion of jewellery, crossing over to an artistic interpretation of his source of inspiration. As a result, the designer's pieces of art are adored by collectors and celebrities all over the world.
Mohammed A.H. Fitaihi of Fitaihi Junior will be contributing 7.5% of the sales to Al Nahda Philanthropic Society, a charity organization involved in projects in the fields of social welfare, family health, special needs, and early childhood across the kingdom. The society currently focusses heavily on human capital development and the promotion of female employment in Saudi Arabia.
Sevan Bicakci's collections are also available in "Fitaihi Junior" showrooms in Basateen Center, Jewellery Center in Tahlia Street in Jeddah, and Centria Mall in Al-Olyah Street in Riyadh.
